Terms of service
These terms are the agreement between you and Kanvo when you use getkanvo.com and the Kanvo app. By creating an account or using Kanvo, you agree to them. If you use Kanvo for a company, you agree on its behalf.
1. What Kanvo is
Kanvo helps freelancers, studios and small teams send quotes, run projects and monthly packages, plan content, share client links, and create invoices. Kanvo is a tool for organising your work. It is not an accounting, tax or legal service, and it doesn't process payments between you and your clients.
2. Early access
Kanvo is in early access. New accounts are reviewed and approved by hand, and we may decline or limit an account. Features may change, and there may be occasional bugs or downtime while we improve the service.
3. Your account
- Give accurate details and keep your password safe. You're responsible for what happens in your account.
- Tell us straight away at hello@getkanvo.com if you think someone else has used your account.
- You must be at least 16 and able to enter into this agreement.
4. Teams
If you set up a team, you are the team owner. People you invite work in your account: they can see and change the same clients, quotes, projects and invoices, and use the team chat. You're responsible for who you invite and what they do, and you can remove them at any time. If you join someone else's team, the owner controls that workspace and can remove you. Your own account data is kept separately and comes back if you leave.
5. Your content
Everything you add to Kanvo, such as clients, quotes, invoices, captions and images, stays yours. You give us permission to store, copy and display it only as needed to run Kanvo for you, for example to sync it, create PDFs, and show it on links you share. You confirm you have the right to add it, including any information about your clients.
6. Client links
Quote links and client dashboard links can be opened by anyone who has them. Share them only with the right people, and turn them off when they're no longer needed. Accepting a quote online records what the client typed; it's up to you whether that is enough to form a contract with your client.
7. Acceptable use
Don't use Kanvo to:
- break the law, or help anyone else break it;
- store or share content that is illegal, harmful, or that you don't have the right to use;
- send spam or mislead people;
- try to get into other accounts or our systems, test our security without permission, or overload the service;
- copy, resell or rebuild Kanvo.
We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
8. Plans and payment
Kanvo has a Free plan and paid Pro and Max plans, with the limits shown on our pricing page. During early access, paid plans are switched on by hand and we'll agree how you pay before you're charged. When online payment arrives, prices, billing periods and refund terms will be shown before you buy. We'll give at least 30 days' notice before changing the price of a plan you pay for.
9. Your responsibilities for invoices and tax
Kanvo helps you prepare quotes and invoices, but you're responsible for their content, including prices, VAT or other tax, and meeting the rules where you work. Check documents before you send them.
10. Availability and backups
We work to keep Kanvo running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. Download a backup from Settings regularly, especially before important work.
11. Ending your account
You can stop using Kanvo at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or if we stop offering Kanvo. Where we can, we'll give you notice and a chance to download your data first.
12. Disclaimers
Kanvo is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we don't give warranties that it will meet every need, be uninterrupted, or be free of errors.
13. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, Kanvo isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost clients or lost data. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 100 if that is more. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Kanvo grows. We'll change the date at the top, and tell you in the app or by email before important changes take effect. If you keep using Kanvo after that, the new terms apply.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of Dubai, unless the law where you live gives you the right to use your local courts.
